finale
“A glance at classical dance from another perspective.”
Finale is a classical piece that uses architecture as a support for movement.
Finale offers to the audience the possibility of enjoying classical dance in a new performance space, decontextualizing it, transfering a ballet to a facade of the city or to a countryside. It reproduces famous classical pieces that the public will identify, compiling elements of ballets like “Swan Lake”, “The Nutcracker” and “Giselle”, among others.
A versatile piece, during day or night, with a duration of 18 minutes.
Musically, Delrevés, instead of creating original music for this project, bets on characteristic compositions of classical repertory. Being well-known pieces, it opens us, for the first time, the possibility of proposing to cities we travel, a collaboration with musicians or music students to participate in the performance.
